Welcome Pain Killers,

I had a lot of fun with this strip, Einar is not usually the most expressive character, so playing with his features the last few strips hsd been fun. Hey Painkillers!

This is Tears & Pain Retro #4 – The WarThrak

One of the additional Fauna of Etherian, I introduced the WarThrak in this strip (Thrak being ancient Elvish for Beast*) A nearly extinct species the High Elven use these creatures to protect their camps and as heavy cavalry in battle. Their numbers however are so few, most of the High elven families are reluctant to commint more than one of these great beasts to the war effort.

I love the concept of this creature, it’s like a house dog, on crack…or the true image of a Chihuahua. What lurks inside the beast. Also with this comic I was working on dialog timing, and hope it turned out okay.

However I am including this one in the Retro series because I had made the decision to Alter one of my characters *Einar* forever, He was to lose his hand, it was something I actually had a hard time coming to that decision. and I have done my very best to not “Marvel” out and go back on that decision..just yet :D

This is the First Strip, done by Mary Kent *also known as Maeve, Zymurgea and all around wonderful person* Maeve answered a call I put out for an artist for the comic at a time when I was honestly burnt out on doing it, (it did not help I was going through a personal crisis at the time) and while the art style was quite a change from mine *see Good* I cannot thank her enough for helping Tears & Pain survive. Her run lasted just short of a year, but it allowed me the time to get my life straight, to focus on what I considered important *my art* and realize that I really do love doing this. Maeve is a wonderful Artist who is currently working with her Husband Greag over at http://www.zymurgea.com on both the Gaterunner Webcomic and Tasha’s Tale, I highly suggest these two webcomics to anyone who likes sci fi/fantasy. Be warmed however Tasha’s Tale is a Fantasy tale involving  Bondage/Fetish type situations so it is definitely NSFW.

This particular strip I love just cuz it shows how much of a bad ass Einar really is.
